Our Journey
A Story That Began With Service
“Our story didn’t begin with love at first sight. It began with service. And in that service, love found its way in – patient, steady, and sincere.”
We met while caring for someone dear to us, late Mrs. Okoye-Dekwo. There was no plan, no intention, no romance, only responsibility, kindness, and a shared sense of duty. We met as helpers. As family.
Somewhere between lifting burdens, sharing meals, and laughing after long days, friendship quietly grew. Love showed up in unintended care, in encouragement when life was uncertain, in standing beside each other when no one was watching.
In the heat of COVID, as fear and lockdowns reshaped everyday life, we decided to start an online grocery store. What began as a survival idea quickly became a purpose-driven venture. Sleepless nights and difficult days became our training ground, and together we built something meaningful when the world needed it most.
Distance, long journeys, school, work, and time apart tested us. We argued, fought, broke up, and reconciled. Through every season, we chose each other again and again. We learned that love is not just about being together when it is easy, but staying connected when it is hard.
Today, we stand before our families and friends, ready to say "I do." A journey that began with service has led us here, to a love that is patient, steady, and sincere.
